No Matter What Career I Have, My Future Is Chic

As a senior in high school, it's so hard for me to settle on a career path for me to take on my journey into the world of fashion and beauty. I have so many complex interests, that are just spouting from those two simple subjects.
I love reading and writing about makeup, hair, fashion, and all of their trends in general, so should I be a fashion and beauty journalist or blogger professionally? I also have an interest in fashion design, so should I be a designer?  Then I also love shopping and putting together outfits for myself and others, so should I be a stylist or fashion merchandiser? It would be so much fun to shop for more than myself and with a much bigger budget! Then I am also pretty wise when it comes to spotting the next trend. I also think I would be good at coming up with campaigns and ways to get people to buy certain clothes, so why not be a fashion marketer? Although I am not the best at math so that may cut out the marketing part. Now when it comes to the beauty stuff I am the type of girl who loves to always have her face "Beat To Perfection" and her hair "Laid To The Gawds"! Makeup is my true passion; and the fact that I'm pretty good with hair too is a plus. It would make perfect sense for me to just go to Cosmetology school, perfect my craft, and fulfill my destiny as I have one head at a time, "Snatched"! The only thing is, that education would require extra money that I do not have and my mother is not willing to pay. There goes that dream (until further notice).
In the end these are the thoughts that will not leave my mind. These are the decisions I have to make. I don't have too much longer to think, but I know no matter what though, My Future Is Chic.

  1. Hi, this is Ben. I met you at your new student orientation at SIU! I promised you I would check out your blog (and even though I am late) I still kept my word. I know this post is old but if you are still having trouble with deciding a major I could probably assist you in negotiating your ideas and finding out the best ways for you to incorporate them. Feel free to connect with me BenjaminSmith@siu.edu! I would love to help anyway that I can!
